If you book the hotel directly either on the Telephone or Online using the Hotel's booking engine then it is possible that we would be paid out by one of the following 3rd Party providers:
- Onyx Payments
- TACs ("Travel Agent Commission Settlement")
- WPS ("Worldwide Payment Systems")
These 3 companies are 3rd Party "Clearing Houses" that on behalf of the hotels, Reconcile and Pay out commissions to the travel agency.
If the commission is taking a long time to be paid please try to call either Onyx, TACs or WPS depending on the hotel brand to see if we got paid the commissions. We list below most of the brands or chains that each processors handles in paying out commissions.
Remember if the hotel booking was made online using one of our hotel links such as Expedia TAAP or Priceline then it would not be paid through one of these companies but we would receive the commissions from them directly. In that case we would have to look up if the commission payment was made to our agency.
In addition, sometimes the booking is either a Non-Commissionable rate or was Cancelled and therefore we would not receive any commissions. We have discovered many times that this is the case.
So it is important to figure out how the hotel booking was made in order for you or us to research.
